That’s why Tier 10 offers our Online Card Pre-Assessment Service: a low-cost, photo-based service designed to give collectors an estimated grade, detailed condition breakdown, and professional recommendation before deciding whether to submit a card for official Tier 10 In-Person Grading.
How It Works
1. Take clear photographs of your card.
Follow the photo requirements provided with your purchase so our assessment team can properly review the visible condition of your card.
2. Purchase a Tier 10 Online Card Pre-Assessment package.
Choose the package that matches the number of cards you would like assessed.
3. Receive your Tier 10 Code and submission instructions.
Following your purchase, you’ll receive a Tier 10 Code along with easy-to-follow instructions explaining how to submit your card information and photographs.
4. Submit your information—and you’re done.
Your email submission will include your:
- Tier 10 Code
- Order Number
- Card Information
- Required Card Photographs
Our intake team will match your Tier 10 Code and Order Number to the corresponding purchase. Once your purchase is confirmed, your submission will be forwarded to our assessment team for professional review.

Important — Online Pre-Assessments Are Photo-Based
Tier 10 Online Card Pre-Assessments are based exclusively on customer-provided photographs and do not constitute an official certified Tier 10 grade.
Because the card is not physically inspected during an Online Pre-Assessment, certain defects may not be visible in the submitted photographs. These may include subtle surface imperfections, indentations, scratches, print defects, edge issues, or other condition concerns that become apparent only during physical inspection.
As a result, the final grade assigned during official Tier 10 In-Person Grading may differ from the estimated grade provided through the Online Card Pre-Assessment service.
When customers provide clear, accurate, well-lit photographs that properly represent the card’s condition, the Tier 10 Online Card Pre-Assessment is designed to provide the closest estimate possible to what may be identified during physical grading.
However, because certain defects may only become visible during an in-person inspection, an exact grade match cannot be guaranteed.
What Is Not Included With Online Pre-Assessment
Tier 10 Online Card Pre-Assessments do not include:
- Physical inspection of the card
- Official Tier 10 certification
- Card authentication
- Encapsulation or sealed protective casing
- Tier 10 grading label
- Certification number
- QR verification
- On-site graded-card listing
- Population-report entry

One-Time Tier 10 Code Use
Each Tier 10 Code and associated Pre-Assessment purchase may be used one time only.
All submissions are verified against the Order Number and Tier 10 Code associated with the original purchase.
Previously used, invalid, or unmatched codes will not be processed.
Repeated intentional attempts to reuse a Tier 10 Code or submit assessments without a corresponding valid purchase may result in the customer being restricted or permanently prohibited from using Tier 10 Grading Company services.
